This is my collection of election billboards, graffiti and posters in Bishkek. Amazingly and at the same time not surprisingly, the city is full of current president Bakiev’s billboards, whose enormous sizes made my hair rise. Other candidates mostly have posters glued on the walls and poles along the main streets of the city.

To sum up, I have seen tons of Bakiev’s campaign billboards, comparing to two of Temir Sariev, two of Toktayim Umetalieva, and one of Nurlan Motuev. I haven’t seen Almazbek Atambaev’s billboard yet, though Bishkek is full of billboards. Atambaev is mainly using small posters and graffiti (and I have seen on t-shirt of him).

Kurmanbek Bakiev, the biggest election billboard I have seen so far, Gorkogo/Karla Marksa
